Arrival: daily from 01.11.2024 - 30.04.2025
Day 1: Keflavík - Reykjavík
Individual arrival in Keflavík, Iceland (flight and rental car offer on request). Pick up your separately bookable rental car at the airport. Depending on flight time, overnight stay in Keflavík
or Reykjavík.
Day 2: Reykjavík - Akureyri
The route leads around the Walfjord. Through Skagafjörður, known for its excellent horse breeding, and across the Öxnadalsheiði plateau, you will reach Akureyri. Overnight stay there
or in the surrounding area.
Day 3: Akureyri - Mývatn
Hardly any other region in Iceland offers as many natural wonders as the area around Lake Mývatn. The unique nature invites you to go hiking. Overnight stay in the Mývatn or Húsavík region.
Day 4: Mývatn - Egilsstaðir
In Húsavík you can start the day with whale watching (optional). Afterwards you drive across the plateau to Egilsstaðir.
Overnight stay there or in the surrounding area.
Day 5: Egilsstaðir - Höfn
Drive along the East Fjords and small fishing villages or along the Ring Road. Your destination for the day is the small town of Höfn, which lies at the foot of the great glacier Vatnajökull. Overnight stay in
Höfn or the surrounding area.
Day 6: Höfn - Vík/Skógar
Along Vatnajökull you reach Skaftafell National Park. Via the sandy deserts of Skeiðarársandur and the Eldhraun lava field you reach Vík. Overnight stay in Vík,
Skógar or the surrounding area.
Day 7: Vík - Golden Circle - Keflavík
Iceland's most famous sights are on the program today: the “golden waterfall” Gullfoss and the geyser area. The last destination on this day is the geologically and historically interesting
Þingvellir National Park. Return to Reykjavík. Overnight stay in Keflavík.
Day 8: Departure
Drive to the airport, drop off the rental car and return flight or individual onward journey.
